Lease Dates/Recertification Dates

HRHA has found that some participants recertification dates do not match their lease dates.  When the dates do not match, it makes extra work for both landlord and tenants.  To correct this, HRHA will be changing recertification dates to coordinate with the lease dates.  This will happen over the next year.


How does this affect you?

When a participant comes up for recertification and we find that the lease date does not match the recertification date, HRHA will change the next recertification date to match the lease date.  This means the next annual recertification will occur less than 1 year from the current annual recertification.  Once this is corrected, the annual recertification will go back to annually.


Furthermore, when a tenant moves, the recertification date will be moved to match the lease date at the new location.


This is effective with August 2019 recertifications and will continue until all recertification dates match lease dates.
